NASCAR at Infineon Raceway

Of course we went to the Toyota/Savemart 350 at Infineon Raceway last weekend. I’ve just been too busy with the structure of the page to post anything about it. I had backstage access to the event, which was a lot of fun. And I have 5 hours of video footage that I want to edit into another video as soon as I find the time. But in the meantime, here’s a few pictures from the weekend:

New Page Online

Here we go! Over the last few weeks I’ve been working on a new webpage, finally powered by WordPress and all the niceties that PHP and dynamic content offer, and I think the page is far enough along to put it online. The front page displays the latest blog posts and latest releases (usually video), making sure that nothing important is getting lost in the shuffle. The portfolio and articles page will receive a similar treatment. Of course those pages are still missing, as are 99% of my old posts. The design isn’t 100% yet either, I think. So don’t be surprised if things keep changing over the next few days, and enjoy what’s already here

I like the new one better One of the reasons I disappeared for a while and stopped updating my page was the (somewhat timely) demise of my old Laptop. I’d had the thing for 3 1/2 years, which certainly isn’t a bad run for a laptop. It didn’t completely break down. But apparently the graphics card stopped working, and neither the internal screen nor any externally connected displays received any signal. Rather than replacing the graphics card, which would run me several hundred dollars (since it’s a built-in laptop card) I decided to get a new laptop instead.
