cloud R.I.P. Cloud

I don’t know what’s been going on here recently, but our budgies are dropping like flies icon sad R.I.P. Cloud This time, it’s our albino female, Cloud. The deaths aren’t related – Squall was a male, Cloud a female and she fell victim to egg binding. I’m left wondering if we could have saved her if we’d done something earlier. But she was hiding in her nesting box most of the time…

Ah well, it’s the circle of life. She certainly gave us a lot of fun times.

    I’m sorry, man. Maybe the budgie afterlife is like Kingdom Hearts, and all of them will end up together wearing different outfits in one big town.

    Man, that sucks. Losing pets is always a bad time for everyone. Sorry to hear.

    Thanks. It sucks because egg binding isn’t the easiest way for a bird to die, and she was still pretty young. But we can look at the rest of the perpetually chirping birds, see how oblivious they seem to the fact that somebody is missing and crack a smile. Still, we’re in “not replacing birds when they die” mode. It means something…
